On Sunday, we were just getting ready to eat and the rain had been coming down hard for about 15 minutes. We took a look outside and noticed the ditches beginning to overflow a little. We quickly ate dinner, then looked outside again. This was when we started to panic! We left at this point to round up some sand bags.
This is how high the water line was at it's worst! We were lucky. A house about 6 down from us had their garage flooded. There was also a car at the end of the street that was completely covered by water. The city finally dug through the dirt blockade at the end of the street with a backhoe and things started to clear up. I guess our neighborhood is the water collecting spot from Fiddlers on down. Lucky us! Needless to say, it was quite an experience and we were definately blessed!

AH! Scary! I am glad that you did not get a new "indoor swimming pool." That was a CRAZY rain storm. I am glad your home made it safe and sound.
Hunt Hunt, you are looking good buddy! Glad you guys have pics of the fam so I can see everyone. Hope everything is going well!

I'm glad nothing happened too! Hopefully the city has things cleared up so this won't happen again.
