Hello to all my blogging friends! I need your opinions...
I am sick of my kitchen cabinets. Too boring, too plain, too typical.
My question is, should I paint them? If so, would you go BLACK or WHITE?
Here are some pictures of my kitchen now.
I want to keep the green paint color of the pantry but carry it throughout the rest of the room as well.
If I paint my cabinets BLACK, I can add a white beadboard as a back-splash
and around the rest of the kitchen and dining room.
If I paint the cabinets WHITE, I will probably just paint all the walls green and call it good.
So, what do you think?
My fear is that black cabinets will be too dark, but I read that painting cabinets white (that have been varnished) tend to turn yellow. Ahhh! I really need some second, third, or fiftieth opinions on this one! Also, if you have any other color choices or ideas - PLEASE feel free to share!
I guess I could always take the easy road and keep them the same, but where is the fun in that?

I vote to go black they would be so cute. and then after your done you can come do mine and i would love you forever:)
I vote black too, but that is just my opinion.... you need to LOVE them!
I think white would be cool. But I think a teal blue with a white wash would look awesome too...or brown. Anyways. . .my auntie thinks I'm crazy with the blue idea. But you already know that.
Okay, so from someone who has fixed houses up, do not paint your cabinets. If you paint your cabinets you are going to lose value on them. If they were older I might think differently but trust me on this one, you don't want to paint them. Sorry, that is just my opinion! Love ya
Paint black! Yeah! Love the beadboard idea! By the way... your playlist is AMAZING! It keeps me sane at work:)! By the way.. remember you gotta come over and decoarate my plant shelves! I am impressed!

Don't paint them! You will regret it for the rest of your life,and you'll always say, "Hunter, why did you let me paint those cabinets!" And Hunter will say, "I told you not to Woman!" And you'll start fighting about how he always buys guns and you always buy clothes. Then you will want to go get a shake at Maverik. It will make you feel better, but then when you get home you'll see the cabinets and start to cry.

I say leave them and change the hardware, accessories and wall color instead. I think since they are newer cabinets, painting will be a bad idea.
Cute Ideas steph!! I think if you go with white you should antique the edges with a light brown. (my friend did hers and they are super cute!) and craig is awesome at antiquing if you need some help :) (I have given him so many projects, he is now a pro...poor guy :) but i also think black would be way cute as well. especially with the green wall!! Have you thought about staining them a dark dark brown? thats what we went with and i love it :) K this is a way long comment..haha. Make sure you post the after pictures! or i might just have to come see the results in person! :)
I love white right now... and I think you should glaze/or antique them a little too! If you are worried about not liking it, staining is always a safe bet :)
P.S. Where in the world did you get those adorable little shutters? LOVE THEM!
